For more information, visit the Company's investor relations website at https://investors.circor.com/POSITION DETAILSPosition SummaryThe Senior Director of Plant Management is a champion of the site wide Operations Strategy and will be the leader for the Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams within the Warren site. He/she will be responsible for partnering with all functions within the business to develop, drive, and implement core business management systems and strategies while driving an aggressive improvement plan.Principal Activities * Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility. * Monitor expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality. * Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible. * Coordinate the hiring and training of all personnel within assigned scope of work. * Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees. * Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals. * Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment. * Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets. Analyze workforce requirements. * Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all employees. * Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity. * Communicate with research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies. * Work with supply chain team to develop and improve supplier relationships. * Must possess exceptional people skills. * Demonstrated leadership skills in operations management. * Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement initiatives. * Support as necessary research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies. * Accountable for the safety of the facility by enforcing established safety and health policies and procedures contributing to promoting employee safety and wellbeing; preventing accidents; working to improve TRIR year over year. Job Requirements:RequirementsCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSKnowledge Skills & Abilities * Previous experience in establishing and managing manufacturing budgets / expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices. * Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends. * Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement. * Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies. * Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills. * Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills. * Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance, and engineering. * Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs. * Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability. * A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible. * Strong analytical and decision-making skills. * Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment. * Highly motivated, results oriented, driven. * Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Education & Experience * A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business / Finance / Management / Operations or another related field is required. * 7+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role spanning multiple departments or disciplines at a manufacturing facility is required.
