POSITION SUMMARY / BASIC FUNCTIONS: The position contributes to our success by providing prompt, courteous service for our members and guests at our in-house Beach & Cable Barista. Creates a welcoming experience by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS FORMAL EDUCATION, MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent Good food and service knowledge; ability to learn quickly Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to work as part of a team Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interacts with members and guests to take beverage and food orders. Ensures prompt and consistent delivery of quality beverages and food products for all members and guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Anticipates member and/or guest and outlet needs by constantly evaluating the environment and noting cues; discovers and responds to member and/or guest needs. Delivers legendary customer service by displaying both a genuine "Service Heart" and a "customer first" attitude, connecting with the members and guests. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep outlet operating to standards and to set a positive example for the team. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. Ensures cleanliness of the outlet including polished or plastic flatware, clean glassware, cups and plates. Communicates with kitchen for food ordering. Handle all checks and cash according to established procedures. Communicates information to manager / supervisor so that the team can respond as necessary to create the appropriate environment during each shift. Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing changes in employee morale and/or performance and communicating them to the outlet manager / supervisor. Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that staff can locate resources and products, as needed. Is familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants. Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the property's culture, mission and values. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in other areas of food and beverage operations, as needed or required. Perform other related duties as requested by the department. Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed. Ability to work any assigned shift / work schedule. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the Executive Chef, Dining Room Manager, Restaurants Manager, Director of Food & Beverage (F&B), Owners, Managing Director (MD) or the Assistant General Manager (AGM).
