Industrial Automation Engineer (PLC)Kansas City, MO Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. The Industrial Automation Engineer will report to either the Installation Supervisor, Team Leader, or Operations Manager, and will be responsible for supporting our Project Managers with creating, installing, and commissioning of PLC/HMI based systems as well as network and device integration work. RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Project start up, program, and commission new PLC/HMI control systems, service, and maintenance of existing installations - fault diagnoses, hardware repairs, and programming bug fixes and alterations. Provide technical support on company sponsored products to customers and other company technicians. Diagnose and resolve technical problems on jobs and provide appropriate reports to project management. Attend project turnover meeting with project manager to gain knowledge of project estimate and scope. Organize and maintain control submittal project redlines and submit to design engineer at project end for as built drawing creation. Participate in jobsite final walk-throughs, complete job closeout documentation, provide customer training. Work with other technicians to develop and share technical solutions. Actively participate in technician training to maintain technical expertise on new products, tools, and integration through continuing education initiatives Accurate daily time and equipment reporting Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions) : 1. Do you have a minimum of three years of experience with PLC/HMI control system preferred.2. Do you have working knowledge of at least one PLC software (i.e. Rockwell RSLogix or Modicon Unity Pro)3. Do you have working knowledge of at least one HMI software (i.e. Rockwell FactoryTalk or Wonderware InTouch)4. Do you have knowledge of common Windows Office applications5. Do you have knowledge of Microsoft SQL or other database applications preferred but not required.6. Do you have knowledge of Ethernet and serial network communication formats and hardware configurations7. Do you have understanding of basic process controls (i.e. PID control loops, motor control, commissioning of digital and analog measurement devices)8. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
