Position Overview: The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has 2 Occupational Therapist Summer openings. This is a contact position for itinerant ESY and Early Intervention Summer Services. This position is for June, July, and August only. The hours for the position will be up to 40 hours spanning the summer months. The OT serves as a functioning member of the educational team with duties to include: screening, evaluation, educational programs, transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with school performance.Pay Rate: $43.91Required Qualifications: - PA Licensure in Occupational TherapyEssential Functions:- Work with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs through evaluation, educational program planning and service delivery. - Evaluates the student's ability and formulates the student's occupational profile through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews.- Interprets evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which reflects strengths and challenges to students participation in the educational environment, directs program development, and guides evidence based intervention.
