Job Summary: Under general direction of the CFO evaluates, plans and supervises registration, financial counseling and cashiering services consistent with hospital operation goals and objectives. Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications Licensure: None required Experience: Two to three years progressively more responsible experience in an acute care facility providing patient accounting services and/or registration services, which included two years in a supervisory role. Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred, but 4-5 years' work experience. Job Knowledge & Skills: Requires in-depth knowledge of process utilized in the admission, processing and discharge of hospital clients, regulatory and public assistance requirements and accounting principles utilized in debit/credit management, as well as legislation impacting same. Demonstrates knowledge of management theory and practice to effectively lead unit associates. Requires strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to integrate client process to service providers and optimize client payment receipts for same. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed.
