Description:
PAYROLL SPECIALIST Detroit Lakes, Minnesota Payroll specialists collect employee information and enter time-sheet data into the database. They prepare cash deposits and process paychecks. Payroll specialists attend to and resolve pay-related queries, ensure that the accounts are balanced, and prepare reports for review by management. RESPONSIBILITIES --- Advanced mathematical skills; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent --- Understanding of payroll and ability to multi-task --- Excellent attention to detail and verbal communication skills --- Customer service driven and works well in a team environment with minimal supervision --- Able to maintain confidential information and properly manage time --- Identify and correct errors in a variety of mathematical computations --- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) REQUIREMENTS --- High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required --- Data Entry experience preferred --- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with others to make recommendations --- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
