JOB DESCRIPTION General Description and Classification StandardsPerforms duties associated with functions assigned to the regulatory compliance operations groups. Provides additional operational support in the terminals and concourses as airport business dictates. Performs duties related to aviation security, physical security, access control, and customer service functions. Conducts inspections and audits while reporting safety & security deficiencies at the airport. Supervision ReceivedDirection received is focused on accomplishing objectives which are outlined in policy and procedures on airport regulatory compliance operations. Works with other staff with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThese are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. * Responds to terminal and concourse calls for service and emergencies while communicating and coordinating with compliance representatives and communications. * Communicates effectively and exchanges information in a professional and positive manner with customers, tenants, airport employees and other staff members. * Performs daily checks of the airport's terminals, concourses, parking lots, curbsides, airport access roadways and other airport facilities. * Prepares and presents various reports and documents including daily logs and reports for incidents, complaints, maintenance requests and regulatory compliance issues. * Ensures all stakeholders remain compliant with regulatory compliance policy and procedures, the Airport Security Program and TSR- 1542. * Properly documents and maintains permanent records of daily events. * Assists with contract security oversight in the terminals, concourses, and airfield. * Operates the computerized access control system and monitor the closed-circuit television system to ensure random surveillance of entry/exit points, high traffic areas, as well as the movement of people and vehicles into secured and other restricted areas of the airport. * Informs airport employees and guests on security protocols and rules and provides clarification on any questions that may come up. * May perform other duties as assigned. It is not an exhaustive list.Some knowledge of general security processes and procedures. * Knowledge of the operation and use of computer systems and equipment utilized in the airport for security purposes. * Skill in using computer equipment and standard office equipment. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications Education And ExperienceBachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College in Airport/Aviation Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field.1 year of airport security, other similar security, airport, or customer service experience.Licensures and Certifications * Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of application. * A valid Georgia driver's license must be presented for verification at the time of appointment. * Must successfully pass an FBI fingerprint based criminal history records check with no disqualifying crimes within the last 10 years and Security Threat. * Must be able to obtain an ATL SIDA Badge and a Customs and Border Protection Seal. Preferred Education & Experience * Master's degree, and/or 2 (or more) years' experience in airport security or other security environment. * Have considerable knowledge of principal policies and procedures involved in monitoring and controlling access at large complexes as well as a familiarization with the federal aviation security rules and regulations. * Considerable knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems is highly desirable. Considerable knowledge of Windows-based systems is highly desirable.
