PT Director of Marketing & Development

Works closely with the Executive Director to execute a strategy for Life House Ministries (LHM) branding, public relations, fundraising and external marketing. Works to ensure the messaging delivered through LHM is clear and concise, communicates the challenges facing the fatherless in our society today and accurately reflects the organizations core distinctives of community, redemption, and hope re-imagined. The successful candidate will be self-starting and an effective collaborator who works well with small teams and shared decision-making. The individual will be excited about the potential for growth and expanding LHM services to include a residential program in the future. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Cultivate relationships with existing and potential financial supporters through personal connections - via phone, digital correspondence and in-person meetings and gatherings. Work with Executive Director to manage all fundraising events, including but not limited to, an annual Fall Benefit. Supervise and ensure the recruitment, training and coordination of the Benefit Committee and Fundraising Event Volunteers. Design, implement and evaluate marketing and communication strategies, including: o Newsletters o Email Campaigns o Website and Social Media o Media Relations or Printed Advertising Help identify opportunities in the community, particularly corporate and political connections, to further the mission and goals established by the LHM Board of Directors. Promote and articulate communications regarding the LHM sustainer giving program known as “The Village”. Invite individuals, churches and businesses to Join The Village. Grow, expand and maintain all mailing and contact lists. Attend occasional marketing and development trainings, as time allows. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with LHM’s Statement of Faith. Be passionate about helping single moms and fatherless children overcome trauma. Bachelor’s Degree is NOT required, however a combination of education and/or work experience which indicates the ability to perform essential functions of the position is necessary. 3 – 5 years of development / fundraising / management experience for a nonprofit organization. Exhibit exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to facilitate meaningful connections with donors, volunteers, clients and staff. Public speaking ability is required. Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize workload independently to meet deadlines and achieve monthly goals. Computer Skills: MS Word and Excel required. Experience with Canva, MailChimp and Clover Website and CRM platforms is a bonus. Valid Washington State driver’s license and ability to travel to offsite meetings. Immediate Opening. Flexible Hours: 12 to 15 hrs per week, approximately 75% remote, 25% onsite. Salary DOE, directly related to previous experience. Potential for more hours as the organization grows and expands.
