Position Summary: The Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the test engineering team responsible for test engineering of powertrain modules. Position Responsibilities: Assists in defining, planning, documenting, executing, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on tests and results for new development projects and current products and components. Assists in the design, analysis and interpretation of product and component tests. Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical staff. Provides advice and technical support to engineering groups. Assists technicians in the set-up and performance of tests. Provides engineering support for the re-working, repairs and improvement of existing test equipment. Assists in development of internal quality control and reliability programs. Coordinates with external labs / suppliers for testing of requirements that exceed current in-house testing capabilities. Essential Skills and Experience: Must be a student currently enrolled in a four-year engineering degree program at an accredited institution Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Self-motivated to expand knowledge and to continuously improve Basic knowledge in Mechanical Engineering Technical drawing reading skills Proficient with Microsoft Office software Ability to interface with cross-functional teams Good verbal and written communication skills Preferred Skills and experience Data Processing knowledge (FAMOS or similar) TS16949 awareness Experience in Automotive industry German and/or Spanish language skills DIVERSITY COMMITMENT: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are more than just words for us.
