This full-time lead painter position earns a competitive salary of $54,000 a year as well as the potential to earn up to $6,000 in bonus pay . DAY-TO-DAY In this lead painter position, your main goal is to efficiently manage the crew of painters while providing top-quality results. One of the ways you ensure efficiency is by communicating with clients prior to starting each new job. Based on what you learn from them, you're able to plan and execute each project using your exceptional time management skills. By holding brief meetings periodically throughout the day you stay informed about the job's progress and communicate any needed adjustments with your teammates. You also use your exceptional leadership skills to train less experienced painters so that they can improve their skills. Some of your other responsibilities include ordering supplies, estimating labor requirements, mapping a timeline, closing out jobs, and preparing work orders. No matter what type of job you're managing, you consistently complete projects on time and within the budget.
