The Pastry Cook I will work on a team to support the baking needs of our pastry kitchen for our multiple restaurant outlets within the Club. Congressional Country Club is looking for Team Members who believe the impossible is possible. Who are driven to make a positive impact on the organization continuously and believe that as a team we can accomplish more. Congressional Country Club is also passionate about growing and developing others so that we may promote them from within. What will be expected of you: Prepare, mix, and bake all pastry dishes, including, but not limited to pastry cream, almond macaroons, key lime pie, creme caramel, creme brulee, rum buns, pie dough, chocolate and almond cream pies, sugar dough, and glass paste cookies. Carefully follow all standard recipes as instructed. Consistently maintain high standards of quality, cost, aesthetics, and flavor of all prepared foods. Assist in preparing and setting up food displays for banquets and catering. Assist in preparing plates for the Banquet Department. Assist in other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef. Clean assigned workstation areas and equipment. Maintain safe operation of food production equipment while utilizing safe and sanitary food handling practices. A flexible work schedule is expected, including working holidays, weekends, and special member events. Ideal Candidates will possess the following attributes: Required Basic baking skills Highly Preferred - 1-3yrs of Hotel/Restaurant experience, specifically in Baking and Pastry Familiarity with basic baking and pastry techniques and batch and quantity cooking Strong communication skills, verbal and written Eagerness and high flexibility to work as needed to fulfill all baking and pastry orders, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special member events Benefits: This is a Full-Time Position Complimentary meals Complimentary parking Health, Dental & Vision Insurance (Available for Full and Part Time Team Members) FSA 401K with match Employee Discounts Golf, Tennis, Fitness Apparel/Items Congressional offers competitive benefits focused on total well-being and dependent aid as we aim to help you achieve a healthy work and personal life CCC is an EOE Job Posted by ApplicantPro
