Description:
Jet Machine builds kits for JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicles). JLTV aims to provide vehicles that are more robust and better equipped to handle modern threats, including improvised explosive devices (IED's) and provides enhanced survivability, mobility and versatility for military operations. Jet Machine also provides specialty metals to customers in the Defense, Aerospace and Oil & Gas Industries. Most recently, Jet Machine has started working with CAT to build armored vehicles such as excavators and front loaders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Assembler is responsible for reading blueprints and assembling heavy equipment and parts according to an instruction manual. Responsibilities and job duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for light fabrication (cut, drill, grind, etc.) Assembly and installation of assigned parts, pieces, subassemblies and assemblies on both the interior and exterior of the vehicle Coordinate with manager and welders to troubleshoot problems Perform painting task on a small scale Set up assembly job by locating parts and gathering materials by work orders Inspect final products for quality and ensure they meet the required standards Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is in a clean and orderly condition Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety guidelines EXPERIENCE Ability to read and interpret blueprints and be mechanically sound Previous experience in assembly or a related field is strongly preferred Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments Previous experience in welding or electrician work is desired Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination JOB QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required Attention to detail Experience with or knowledge of manufacturing practices Experience using precision measuring tools Experience reading blueprints and follow work instructions Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects/components, frequently 25 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping and handling materials BENEFITS: Full healthcare benefits on day 1, including a free medical insurance option Dental Vision Optional STD Company paid LTD Company paid basic life insurance PTO accrual program Paid holidays Optional OT Employee referral program Retirement benefits w/ a company match Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled: As an Equal Opportunity Employer, All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
