As a Pile Driver at SUS, you will be directly contributing to our success. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PILE DRIVER A Pile Driver will construct, repair, install and repair structures. SUMMARY OF PILE DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates rigs that drive metal, concrete, or wood piling from Pile Driver mounted on skids, barge, crawler treads, or locomotive crane to drive pilings as foundations for structures Welding of steel components and parts for bridges, buildings, dock building, and temporary support structures Template and pile layout For a complete job description and list of responsibilities, please visit our career page at https://specialtyunderwater.applicantpro.com/jobs/ PILE DRIVER REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES & EDUCATION: We are looking for someone with a positive attitude to work with our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Along with those qualities, the following are the requirements of the job. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); completion of apprenticeship program or related experience and/or training. Mathematics: Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure. Reading, Writing, and Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Problem Solving: Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and construction diving. This position may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances, in addition to completing underwater construction activities. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Some positions with the company will have access to confidential and proprietary information.
