B Safe Security is looking for an experienced Security Service Technician in our Union, NJ branch. Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have experience installing and inspecting fire, burglar, access control, and CCTV systems. Duties & Responsibilities: Installation, service, and inspection of security alarms and associated low voltage systems System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards Make connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers security equipment Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management Ability to use a variety of hand tools Perform other duties as required Education & Required Skills: High School Diploma / GED 2+ years' experience preferred Familiarity with one or more of the following product lines; Honeywell, DSC, Napco, Hikvision, Keyscan, Door King, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP preferred Ability to install, inspect, or service security alarms Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must read and speak English Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License Experience: Prior experience in inspections, field service, and / or installation preferred but not required NICET Certification is preferred but not required In 1978, our company's founder and current president, Phillip Gardner, built a security system for his parents' home after it was burglarized.
