Practice Area: Trusts and Estates,Estate & Tax Planning,Trusts and Estates - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm in Monument, CO is seeking an Associate Attorney to perform a wide variety of functions with a focus on Estate Planning, Business Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively, efficiently, and proactively alongside the team, following established systems, processes, and deadlines. Duties:Meet with and communicate with clients to discern their wishes, engage new clients, and review current client plans.Draft appropriate legal documents including Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.Advise clients on estate, gift, GST, and income tax matters, explaining the firm's approach to estate planning, engagements, and fees.Support other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff with assigned tasks.Participate in the firm's marketing activities, including public speaking engagements, educational events and seminars, writing articles and blogs, and other necessary activities.Attend Continuing Legal Education (CLE) as necessary to maintain competence and any required credentialing. Requirements:J.D. Degree and license to practice law in the state of Colorado, in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.Excellent communication skills - both oral and written. Skills:Knowledge and experience in Estate Planning, Business Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration.Strong drafting skills for legal documents.Ability to advise clients on tax matters related to estate planning.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Collaborative mindset and ability to work efficiently within a team.Proactive approach to tasks and deadlines.
