The successful candidate will be able to work with clients, large and small, from various industries across the country. They will primarily focus on trademark practice and litigation, with exposure to copyright, patent, and trade secrets litigation.Duties:Handle all facets of domestic and international trademark counselingParticipate in trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secrets litigationConduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefsCollaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategiesAttend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedingsProvide legal advice and counsel to clients on intellectual property mattersAssist with client development and business generation activitiesRequirements:2-4 years of focused experience in a national trademark practiceSignificant experience in trademark counseling and litigationExperience in one or more of the following areas: Copyright litigation, Patent litigation, Trademark litigation, Trade secrets litigationExcellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documentsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleaguesExceptional academic record from a reputable law schoolAdmission in good standing with the Minnesota Bar or eligibility for admission as soon as practicableEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Admission to the Minnesota Bar or eligibility for admissionSkills:Legal research and writingLitigation strategy and case managementIntellectual property law expertiseClient communication and relationship managementAttention to detail and analytical thinking As one of the largest law firms in the U.S. with more than 40 offices, it was founded in 1967.
