Job Overview The Fund Accountant is primarily responsible for ensuring general ledger accounts are properly reconciled, access to banking relationships is appropriate, and equity accounting is accurate. Responsibilities Maintain professional skepticism when performing duties Assist with updating employee access and signers with various banking relationships Support other members of Financial Management On an annual basis: Assist with year-end financial closing process and audit requests On a quarterly basis: Assist with covenant reporting Ensure all balance sheets are validated and reconciled to independent information Validate accuracy of equity accounts for legal entities with external investors Monitor and follow up on open receivables including Property Management fees On a monthly basis: Assist with balancing Intercompany accounts Complete all bank account reconciliations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. 2-3 years of experience in a position responsible for financial management and accounting; familiarity with non-profit accounting is a plus. Working knowledge of computerized accounting. Experience with Financial Edge, Yardi real estate management and/or Salesforce is a Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks, collaborate with co-workers, work well independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and meet specific deadlines and maintain discretion in handling confidential matters. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent networking, relationship management, and customer service skills. Reporting to the office the whole week is required.
