Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of New Product Development Mechanical Engineer Intern at our offices in Sterling, Illinois. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assist with designs or improve routine components and products with a solid understanding of design tools and methods. Optimize routine components and products with a solid understanding of analysis methods Support implementation from product concept to prototype to launch Assist in solving routine problems with a solid aptitude for problem solving skills Translate customer needs to product requirements. Analyze competitive products Test and analyze prototype products and review existing products and/or processes to promote productivity and make necessary recommendations Create reports and presentations for projects management supervisors and clients on a per need basis MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Current undergraduate or recent graduate Pursuing a degree in Engineering with an understanding of part design and manufacturing process for plastic parts Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn 3D modeling/ design experience preferred Why Wahl?
