Summary The Department of Biology at Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August of 2024. We seek candidates to add to the department's breadth of expertise in Human Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) and contribute to research accessible to undergraduates in a small-college environment. The successful candidate will have earned a PhD in Biology with demonstrated ability to teach A&P and commitment to teaching at a primarily undergraduate institution. Teaching responsibilities will include Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II (multiple sections for first-year nursing majors) and other courses in support of the Biology and College curriculum. The faculty member will have the primary responsibilities of teaching, research/scholarship, and service functions and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the mission of the College and the Biology Department. Required Qualifications Terminal degree (PhD) in Biology and evidence of effective teaching and scholarly activity.
