ABOUT The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four civil/vertical construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, vertical construction, site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on AIS Infrastructure's construction and industrial equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation and optimal performance of the equipment. The Mechanic must possess a strong knowledge of mechanical systems and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on construction and industrial equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they cause equipment failure. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system problems. Replace faulty parts and components, ensuring proper installation and calibration. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Certification or training in mechanical or automotive technology is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in the construction or industrial sector. Knowledge of construction equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes. Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized systems is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Must provide own tools.
