Construction Project Manager

Overview The position oversees all day-to-day project activities from pre-construction through the project's completion. The Project Manager is involved with various project activities including project estimating, permit procurement, contracts, subcontract management, cost control / analysis, scheduling, proposals, safety, and document turnover. This individual is the primary contact with the Client and/or End User through the duration of construction. CIC Project Managers also interact with other entities within the Scott Rice companies to provide a successful integrated experience. We are seeking an organized and motivated individual comfortable in managing multiple projects of varying complexities. Responsibilities: Develop new and manage client relationships and interface throughout the duration of the project. Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day construction activities and the successful interaction of single or multiple projects simultaneously. Support Pre-Construction services (when applicable) including quantity takeoff, trade coordination, bid packaging and scope of work development / reviews, schedule development, bid list creation and bid advertisement. Create work plan and logistics, and organizes deliveries based on overall project parameters, project schedule, work scope, and customers' goals. Plan and coordinate product delivery and installation with field staff, including performance of work, installation administration, and timeliness of task completion. Maintain detailed project documentation of key project decisions / project requests / revisions. Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts with input from Superintendent and reviews with project team. Participate in the development of the project budget. Regularly reviews costs relative to the budget and highlights discrepancies to enable improved financial performance. Utilize awareness, experience, and knowledge to identify problems and recommend solutions for review and implementation by the Team - including a proficiency in looking 90+days ahead and tracking completion of risk management activities to keep project on track. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Must be extremely organized, with time management skills. Must be able to analyze and problem solve, even with significant ambiguity. Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management. Product and technical knowledge, including applicable building codes, correct product applications, custom applications and pricing, price estimating and solicitation. Ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of interior construction, interior design, moves and relocations, trucking, and shipping, building management, and current workplace issues. Basic project estimation and budget management skills. Ability to build relationships and collaborate with team members both internally and externally transcends a project. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirements. A minimum of 5-years of relevant Project Engineer / Project Manager experience in the construction industry. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access), schedule software (Microsoft Project), cost control, project management and other related construction software (i.e., PlanGrid, ProEst, Bluebeam, etc.).
