1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed -Jamesville, NY (Job #TR-JA) A family with a 11-year-old boy in Jamesville is looking for a direct support professional to assist them with respite care. The individual enjoys being active: he likes to be outside, swimming, going for walks, going to parks that include jungle gyms and swing sets. He likes sports like soccer and basketball, playing on his ipad, and Roblox. The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and has experience with behaviors and supporting youth to express their feelings and emotions. The candidate should also be comfortable with pets, as the family has cats at home. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Hours and days of work: Monday-Friday from 4pm-6pm. During the weekends, the times are flexible but 3 hour shifts. (15 hours total a week) Starting pay : Starting pay is $ 18/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Location: Jamesville, NY Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. EOE In efforts to continue to recruit and retain the best staff, Exceptional Family Resources is pleased to announce the 2024 Employee Retention Bonus. The first bonus will be a payment equal to 3% of wages earned from 1/21/2024 to 6/8/2024. The second bonus will be a payment equal to 3% of wages earned from 6/9/2024 to 11/9 /2024.
