ABOUT THE POSITION: The Vice President of Finance manages the company's financial and business affairs, strategic planning, building operations, information technology, and supply chain. With the CEO, help direct the company's short-term and long-term planning and overall management to support strategic business goals. Ensure the company has the proper operational controls, administrative procedures, and reporting procedures to meet its operational and financial targets. Provide day-to-day leadership and management guidance that mirrors the adopted corporate mission and core values. Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass quality, customer service, and business goals and objectives. Responsible for establishing internal and external processes and key performance indicators for the business and measuring and evaluating their effectiveness. Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the company. Spearhead developing, communicating, and implementing effective growth strategies and processes. Oversee all financial planning, new business planning, budget production, and budget controls needed to realize the company's fiscal and business goals. Monitor and regularly report key quality, customer service, operations, and financial metrics to staff and the Board of Directors. Provided support for business analysis to the staff to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Company's businesses. Oversee external reporting and prepare financial reports and analysis for the CEO, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors. Ensure that the computerized medical records, operations, financial management systems, chart of accounts, and internal control systems are properly designed and maintained and provide meaningful and timely information. Ensure that the key systems are efficiently and fully implemented, that the department staff managing and utilizing these systems are proficient in their use, and that the data is regularly reconciled to the general ledger. Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS). Oversee treasury management; monitor investment manager performance, manage investment policies and procedures, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports to the Board's Finance Committee. Negotiate or consult on all major transactions and review all financial contracts. Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in finance Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position directly supervises the Director of Finance and oversees all accounting and billing staff. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A Master's Degree in accounting, finance, or business is required. Seven years of experience in a senior finance role within a RENAL healthcare organization is required. Five to seven years of corporate financial experience with oversite of payor contracting required.
