POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Global Leadership Academies is looking for a Summer Intern for the scholars in the school that qualify for Special Services at Global Leadership Network Support schools. This is currently a part-time position that is being offered to ensure that scholars have access to the general education environment. The responsibilities would include but not be limited to: Assisting Special Services Liaison in organizational tasks Assisting with Frontline maintenance Assist psychologist with evaluation preparation Assist with preparation for workshops and training Other duties as assigned by SSL Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. Maintains confidentiality Demonstrates punctuality, good attendance, and work ethic for all duties. Responds to requests in a timely manner. Organized and can be flexible. Other duties may be required at the discretion of Special Services liaison, site principals, and Director of Special Services or their designee. EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPIRENCE High School Diploma/GED or Associates (preferred) Knowledge of how to work with scholars with special needs (preferred) Applicants interested in pursuing a career in Special Education Display of exemplary collaboration skills Ability to follow schedule and work independently Administrative skills DIVERSITY AT GLA SCHOOLS GLA is committed to building a diverse and inclusive community, both through our hiring practices and our focus on creating a culture and environment where diverse perspectives, ideas, and identities are valued and integrated into our way of working and educating scholars
