Position Title: Worship LeaderType: Part TimeReports To: PastorPurpose:The Worship Leader is a part time position tasked with planning, preparing for and leading weekly worship services, including musicians, audio, visual and decorations, that leads the congregation toward worshipping the triune God.Essential Functions: Lead the congregation in worship Develop the weekly order of service in coordination with the pastor Lead weekly worship rehearsal with the worship team that prepares for Sunday worship and introduces and practices songs future services Ensure that the stage is set, lighting, sound system, video and presentation software are all working properly for worship services Oversee the design/decoration of the stage for worship services Recruit, develop and train musicians, singers and AV team members Create and track the annual worship budget, assuring over spending does not occur Engage with teh body through church events, bible studies, and other events Edit and upload sermons to YouTube and podcast platforms Work under the supervision of the pastor Minimun Qualifications: A Christian who has a clear testimony of a life entrusted to Christ Agreement with and willingness to pursue the mission of Pleasant View Missionary Church Track record of integrity Love for others and ability to care for them Skilled in music Understanding of worship, both theologically and practically Experience with use of technology for worship Able to lead others Team player with good relational skills and a positive attitude Supervisory Responsibility: Volunteers Worship Team Sound Team Lead Video Team Lead Education and Experience: Experience leading worship with a team Training in worship leadership Musicl training Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
