The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling clients on government contracts laws and regulations, negotiating subcontracts and teaming agreements, and handling bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims. Excellent academic credentials and exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.Duties:Counsel clients on government contracts, laws, and regulations.Review and negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements.Handle bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.Conduct legal research and analysis related to government contract matters.Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and memoranda.Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other proceedings.Provide strategic advice to clients on issues with government contracts.Requirements:A minimum of 3+ years of government contract experience is required.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.High level of academic achievement.Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Illinois preferred).Experience with litigating bid protests is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Illinois preferred).Skills:In-depth knowledge of government contracts, laws, and regulations.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.Benefits:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceVoluntary Insurance, including Vision401(k) PlanPaid Time OffThis position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to join a dynamic team and work on challenging government contract matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.
