Requisition Number: 18541 Required Travel: 0 - 10% Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/Exempt Anticipated Salary Range: $84,705.00 - $125,000.00 Security Clearance: Ability to Obtain Level of Experience: Senior Meet HII's Mission Technologies Division Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globeMission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense - the data evolution - by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customersOur capabilities range from C5ISR, AI and Big Data, cyber operations and synthetic training environments to fleet sustainment, environmental remediation and the largest family of unmanned underwater vehicles in every classFind the role that's right for youApply todayWe look forward to meeting youJob Description HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a motivated Environmental Senior Test Engineer to work with our team in the testing of advanced systems and technologyAs part of our Tactical Sensor Systems division located in Syracuse, NY, you will be helping to advance leading edge electronics and communications technologiesWe are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter and can work with minimal oversightThe Environmental Test Engineer must be a "big-picture" thinker who thrives on solving challenging technical problemsYou will be working with a multi-disciplinary team in the qualification, testing, and delivery of products with a focus on the end-user/customerThe Environmental Test Engineer will regularly interface with a team consisting of software, digital, hardware, mechanical and product engineersEssential Job Responsibilities--- Developing test set structures and executing qualification tests * Finding and reporting issues before, during, and at the conclusion of testing * Develop suitable environmental testing plans and frameworks that align with our customers. * Guiding teammates to improve designs to meet performance and environmental specifications Minimum Qualifications--- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers. * Experience with:--- Ensuring test runs and results within the given time frame. * Developing and executing test plans to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications. * Performing qualification, performance and regression testing of various products. * Reporting on test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders.
