Bakersfield SPCA is adding to our team! Do you love animals and want to learn new skills? A part time Kennel Technician position is available. You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. Willing to work up to 25 hours a week, weekends and holidays. $16.50 - $17.50 an hour. Responsibilities: Handle general care tasks such as cleaning kennels, feeding and grooming of the animals Assist in restraining animals for medical needs Working with potential adopters to make the right connection Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals Maintain a clean and healthy environment Qualifications: Good customer service skills Passion to help and treat animals Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
