Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Independently perform or coordinate a variety of advanced accounting activities, including more complex accounting processes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Coordinate accounting, reporting processes and workflow of other team members. Oversee the complete and accurate maintenance of assigned accounting records and the preparation and compilation of financial reports and information. Assist with GAAP and regulatory reporting for assigned business unit or division and perform other related accounting tasks and analyses. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Large MGA is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team Responsibilities: Following is a summary of essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specic activities may change from time to time.Review the daily bank activity reports, monitor and confirm daily deposits and transactionsEnsure accurate and timely recording of all cash receipt transactions in the GLProcesses all credit card transactions, rejects, returns etc.Performs monthly posting of all ACH paymentsIdentifies, isolates and corrects errors within balance sheet accountsAssist with bank, credit card, and expense reconciliationsSupports teammates in providing responses to internal and external audits/examinationsAssist accounting staff with projects and/or special reports as neededBack-up for Accounts payable processing and setup vendors in the SIS system Qualications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related trainingAbility to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously in an accurate and on a timely basisStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft office softwareHelp plan and perform analyses of cash management activitiesGeneral knowledge of accounting and treasury principles and processes3-5 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualications: Procient in MS-Excel, General Ledger softwareInsurance or specialized MGA experience is an asset General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
