Description: Are you a hands on person who enjoys complex testing and troubleshooting and looking to make a significant impact in the exciting world of microelectronics devices? We're seeking a highly motivated tester to join our production team in the Microelectronics Center at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, FL facility. You'll be working on the forefront of production activities for our most cutting edge missile and fire control product lines such as the Hellfire II Missile, the Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile, the Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod and the F-35 Sensor. A tester position within manufacturing will set up and operate manual, semi-automatic and automatic test equipment, and troubleshoot using prints, schematics, sketches, and other procedures. Use your critical thinking skills to validate and perform system tests under direction of technical requirements and analyze subsystem failures and malfunctions to ensure we deliver a quality product to our customers. The candidate will work with a strong and dedicated engineering and manufacturing cross-discipline group in conducting in-depth failure investigations and maintaining test equipment to ensure production yields and delivery rates are met. Works from prints, schematics, engineeringchanges, wiring diagrams, procedures, sketches, andsimilar documentation of electrical, electronic, andother functional subsystems2.) Tests, evaluates, and verifies the performance ofsubsystems for conformance with technical andoperational requirements; validates and performssystems tests under direction of technicalrequirements3.) Sets up and operates requisite checkoutequipment, specially designed functional test panelsand consoles, and other recording devices4.) Analyzes subsystems failures and malfunctions todetermine cause; requests cognizant manufacturing,engineering, or quality division for requisite correctiveaction. Performs retest of reworked or modifiedsubsystems5.) Observes, records, analyzes, verifies andinterprets sectional and composite instrument andpanel readings, makes computations and calculationsrequisite to the collation of data and assists inlocating and eliminating discontinuities and transientirregularities caused by test station interference6.) Recommends changes in tests and testingprocedures to facilitate the obtaining of complete andaccurate test information7.) Performs other assigned functions such asmaintaining pertinent logs and records,demonstrating equipment operations and trains othertechnicians as required8.) Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shiftas required by the collective bargaining agreement Basic Qualifications: Ability to use scopes, multimeters, power generatorsin the testing and verification of electrical andmicroelectronic hardware.Must be able to follow written procedures andpolicies.Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD SecretSecurity Clearance.Must have the ability to work 1st or 2nd shiftaccording to the collective bargaining agreement. Desired Skills: Prior experience with microelectronics.Prior experience setting up and operating manual,semi-automatic and automatic equipment and semiautomatic and automatic test equipment.Two year degree in electronics. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
