The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is currently recruiting for two full-time Animal Care Services Officer . Under close supervision, incumbents enforces State and County laws regarding stray, dangerous, rabid, nuisance and unwanted domestic animals; investigates complaints; patrols assigned areas; captures animals; removes dead animals from public and private properties; assist in feeding and cleaning animal enclosures; assist with euthanizations and disposal of animals in a humane and prescribed method and performs other duties related to humane animal protection and control; performs related work as assigned including assisting the public with drop off, pick up and adoption of animals as necessary. This is a working level class in animal control, responsible for enforcing applicable regulations in a limited public officer capacity. Successful performance of the work requires skill in dealing with the public in difficult situations as well as a willingness to handle animals that may be injured or ill. About Animal Care Services: Animal Care Services is a division of the Sheriff's Department. Animal Care Services provides services for the unincorporated areas of Yuba County and is located in Olivehurst, California. Animal Care Services care for lost animals, injured and abandon animals, and a provide variety of services that protect both citizens and animals.
