Industry leader seeks an Associate Underwriter to perform a full range of policy underwriting functions for Commercial Lines of insurance. Responsibilities: *** Review and process requests to approve or decline applications. *** Determine terms & conditions, amount of coverage, need for inspection reports, corrective measures, and similar. *** Address agent queries regarding approval or denial of submission. *** Prepare forms and related documentation for rating and initiate issuance of policy. *** Determine requirement and recommend reinsurance. *** Initiate pre-renewal notifications to agents and process renewal submissions. *** Process termination of cancellations and non renewals. *** Liaise with agents to solicit information, explain underwriting decisions, and similar. *** Assess losses and recommend solutions or cancellations to improve loss ratio. Experience Sought: *** Bachelors degree in Business or similar field. *** Experience processing submissions with moderate level of Commercial Underwriting authority.
