Volt is immediately hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Miramar Ca.As a Electro-Mechanical Assembler you will: * Applies advanced electrical and mechanical theory, and related knowledge to fabricate and / or modify, various types of production and development equipment. * Assembles and tests production motor control devices, switch panels, and other electrical equipment and components. * Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Engineers. * Plans layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or new equipment. * Uses advanced electrical skills to troubleshoot, and / or debug electrical equipment, including PLC's & Motion Control Systems. * Uses advanced mechanical skills to diagnoses mechanical malfunction of operational equipment, Recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards. This is a full-time 3-month opportunity, with the potential of temp-to-hire.The ideal candidate will have:. * Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume * Knowledge of AC, DC, High and Medium voltage, low voltage circuits and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). (Computer programs including AutoCAD, and Excel. ) * Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move heavier objects with assistanceSchedule: Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm (flexible) Pay: $35-45 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
