Our community is looking for Early Dementia Program Support Staff to join our team. The Support Staff member's role is a hybrid caregiver/ activity professional position that includes providing hands on care and physical and emotional support to a small group of residents experiencing symptoms related to early dementia while maintaining a safe and comfortable home like environment. Responsibilities: Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident Participating and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities Qualifications: 2 years education or experience in related field preferred High School diploma/GED Must be 18 years of age Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, management and co-workers Superior customer service skills Ability to handle multiple priorities Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills About Discovery Senior Living Discovery Senior Living ranks prominently among the 5 largest senior housing providers in the US and is nationally renowned for luxury senior-living communities.
