Summary The Assistant Teacher/Aide will assist Teacher with afternoon and closing activities until pick up time by caretakers. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. S/he will develop and maintain positive relationships with the children and their parents. Will exhibit patient, caring, pleasant demeanor. Duties Actively engage in afternoon activities with children. Help ensure a smooth transition from school back to the caretaker. May clean classroom equipment, sanitize toys, and prepare classroom for the next day's activities. Follow all center policies and state regulations. Requirements Must have high school diploma or equivalent and some childcare experience. Ability to work well with others. Strong oral communication skills. Patient, pleasant, caring demeanor. Must clear full background check. Must pass health screening.
