Job Overview This position is responsible for the installation of integrated residential technology systems. This role combines technical skills with craftsmanship to deliver reliable, easy-to-use systems on time and on budget for the company’s clients. Responsibilities Install, move, and modify equipment according to job specifications, standards, and procedures. Installing and troubleshooting Audio/Video, Home Theater, Network, and Automation Systems, covering both new construction and retrofit wiring. Install, maintain, or repair low-voltage wiring systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications; pre-wire lower-voltage wiring to industry standards; terminate various low voltage wiring as needed. Assembling racks. Skillful in connecting and troubleshooting control systems. Physical installations of speakers, displays, TVs, and equipment racks. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the Home Audio/Video industry. Experience with the Control4 platform is a plus. Programming knowledge is a plus. Should possess expertise in equipment setup and rack assembly. Comprehensive understanding of signal flows and control systems for distributed audio, video, and home theater systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electronic schematics, and user manuals. Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction. Skillful use of hand and power tools. Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities. Exemplary customer service skills coupled with a positive attitude. A valid Driver’s License and the ability to operate a vehicle for travel to and from job sites. Physical Demands Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 80 lbs.
