Don't forget to take a look at our comprehensive benefits!SUMMARYResponsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of scrap steel warehouse. Each shift may have a Group Leader and each is independent of the other, however, day-to-day communication and cooperation among Group Leaders is essential. Individual Group Leaders report directly to Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Ensures all plant employees conduct operations in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all plant areas meet safety requirements. * Monitors overall performance of receiving, inspection and shipping functions. * Monitors and controls inventory, storage layout and design. * Participates and provides leadership for preventative actions to reduce and/or eliminate waste and quality problems for stored product. * Assists in establishing and maintaining work instructions, process procedures and standards for plant functions. * Participates and provides leadership for the continuous improvement program (kaizen). * Assists in developing self-sufficient preventative maintenance program. * Assists in implementation and monitoring of GMI environmental matters. * Prepares and presents various reports as requested by management. * Promotes goodwill of company at all times. * Assists with interviewing for plant positions. * Makes recommendations to Manager for training needs, performance reviews and any potential disciplinary actions involving team members. * Travel may be required based on company need.BENEFITS * Competitive Salary with Bonus Opportunities * Paid Time Off * Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits (Low Premiums!) * Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts * Disability and Life Insurance * 401(k) with Company Contribution * Educational Tuition ReimbursementEDUCTATION and/or EXPERIENCETwo year degree from a college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Our company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer!
