Based in Sudbury, ON , the Civil Engineering Technician will report to the Project Manager, Engineering and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the on-site review & documentation of Land Development and Linear Infrastructure projects. You will be part of a team that provides solutions in a diverse range of engineering, including Municipal, Transportation, Environmental, Drainage and Stormwater Management. What You’ll Do: As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will: Perform on-site construction inspections of Civil Engineering designs to ensure general conformity with engineered drawings and specifications Provide Contract Administration support to the Project Manager for various Civil Engineering projects including: chairing progress meetings, preparing meeting minutes, reviewing shop drawing submittals, and preparing change management documentation Maintain diligent records of on-site activities for each unique project, including accurate field reports, photo inventories, and any documents required for Engineering Certification Complete quantity takeoffs and Engineering cost estimates Assist with project tendering Communicate subject matter effectively to the Constructor Collaborate with the Engineering team to prepare detailed Engineering drawings, as required Apply Auto CAD Civil 3D to prepare: Lot Grading Plans, Site Servicing Plans, Site Grading & Drainage Plans, Erosion & Sediment.
