Here are the job details and requirements:Job Overview:The Litigation Attorney will manage a caseload primarily focused on medical case review and negotiation/settlement in the pre-litigation stage. They will also handle legal documentation, client communication, and case management.Duties:Review policies, claims, and other records related to medical casesNegotiate and settle cases in the pre-litigation stagePrepare, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theories of liability, and demandsCommunicate with insurance companies to manage client medical treatment and billingProvide case status updates to clients and conduct intake meetings with new clientsManage docket of cases according to office policyConduct and attend IME's (Independent Medical Examinations), EUO's (Examinations Under Oath), and recorded statementsExercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactionsRequirements:Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing2-5 years of experience in personal injury lawStrong negotiation, communication, and writing skillsIntermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondenceAnalytical skills and attention to detailAbility to work independentlyEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Ohio State BarAny additional certifications related to personal injury law or litigation would be advantageousSkills:Legal drafting and argumentationCase managementNegotiationClient communicationAnalytical thinkingTime managementConfidentiality managementProficiency in legal researchProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent softwareBenefits Offered:Paid time off and paid personal timeMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceCompany-paid Long Term Disability and Life InsuranceSupplemental insurance (Short Term Disability, Voluntary Life, Hospital, Critical Illness, and Accident)401k retirement planParking is paid for by the company
