This position offers a unique blend of hands-on experience and learning opportunities in compliance, operational testing, risk management, and vendor relations. Interns will play a crucial role in enhancing Wellfit's compliance framework, ensuring the highest standards of operational integrity and risk mitigation. Internship Responsibilities: As a Compliance Specialist Intern, you will: Lead the Compliance & Operational Testing and Monitoring Program: Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive testing and monitoring strategies to identify and mitigate compliance risks effectively. Assess Third-Party / Vendor Risks: Participate in the initial assessment of inherent risk ratings for Wellfit's third-party vendors, contributing to a robust vendor management program. Develop Compliance & Risk Management Metrics: Enhance existing metrics or develop new ones to measure the effectiveness of compliance and risk management efforts, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement. Conduct Re-underwriting Reviews: Perform detailed periodic reviews of existing merchants to ensure ongoing compliance and manage risk exposure effectively. Who We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree students with a keen interest in compliance, risk management, or related fields. Individuals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
