We are seeking a talented and driven Associate Attorney interested in litigating, through providing support to more senior attorneys, in no-fault cases, negligence cases, wrongful death and general personal injury cases. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our boutique, modern, high-energy, and fast-paced personal injury law firm located in New Center, Detroit! New Center is one of the city's most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods. You'll be working in a dynamic and diverse community with easy access to incredible restaurants, entertainment, and cultural attractions. We provide opportunities for professional development, including attending conferences and seminars, participating in workshops and training sessions, and taking on leadership roles within the firm. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration hearings • Conduct legal research and analysis on cases • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents • Interview clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and defense attorneys • Communicate with clients regularly to keep them informed of case status and progress • Attend court appearances and depositions Requirements: • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school • Michigan Bar license or the prospect of getting one soon.
