Intrepid Studios is looking for a VFX Artist to join our award winning team to work on our epic MMORPG Ashes of Creation. This position requires high-level artistic sensibilities and strong technical skills. We're looking for someone passionate about making great games, who is a strong problem-solver, and an effective communicator. If you think that describes you then we'd love to speak with you further Required: Ability to create exceptional real time visual effects Creation of assets from scratch using in engine and 3rd party tools. 3D modeling and UV mapping skills Ability to proactively work across departments to discuss and overcome technical obstacles Driven to innovate and solve problems Plusses: AAA Game Development Experience Unreal Engine experience Multidisciplinary background Scripting or coding experience Houdini Simulation experience (Destruction, Fluids, etc) Strong traditional art skills Experience creating visual effects in a range of styles Avid gamer with a love for Fantasy MMO titles Required Application Materials: Resume Reel demonstrating your VFX skills Cover letter which should include: Why you are interested in working at Intrepid What games you are currently playing Interview Overview: Below you'll find an outline of the interview plan for this role. We have competitive pay bands based on market standards and a significant annual bonus structure. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
