The ideal candidate will have experience in general, broad-based business tax, including Corporate Taxation, Mergers Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Partnership work, with international experience being a plus. An LL.M. in Tax is preferred. The candidate must be a self-motivated, personable team player with outstanding academic and professional credentials. Additionally, candidates must be admitted to practice in New York. Duties:Provide legal counsel and representation on business tax matters, including Corporate Taxation, Mergers Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Partnership workConduct tax due diligence for corporate transactionsDraft and review tax-related documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and agreementsAssist with tax planning and structuring for domestic and international transactionsCounsel clients on tax compliance issues, including federal, state, and international tax lawsRepresent clients in tax audits and disputes with tax authoritiesCollaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement tax strategiesStay updated on developments in tax laws and regulations Requirements:6+ years of experience in business tax lawLL.M. in Tax preferredAdmitted to practice law in New York Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolLL.M. in Tax preferred Certifications:Admitted to practice law in New York Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracy in legal workAbility to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectivelyKnowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulationsExperience in tax planning and structuring for corporate transactions Providing a full range of legal and advocacy services across a broad spectrum of industries, this law firm has offices throughout the U.S. and Shanghai.
