Our goal is to achieve and maintain equal employment opportunities, with policies in place to maintain a work environment free from discrimination. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Math Teacher- Full Time Franklin School – Jersey City, NJ Position Overview Franklin School, an innovative coeducational high school in Jersey City, NJ, is currently seeking a self-directed, experienced, and energetic High School Math Teacher to begin in August 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year. Responsibilities Design and implement lesson or unit structures that are clear, logical, and transparent Foster a positive and constructive learning environment in the math classroom Collaborate with teachers from other subject areas to plan and implement interdisciplinary study Guide and support students as they make connections to Franklin’s applied learning philosophy Display a commitment to diversity and create a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in approach to teaching and learning, as they are recognized and valued by Franklin Franklin faculty members are expected to share their expertise and passions related to both academic and non-academic areas, to enrich the school community through contributions to the skills, micro-courses, and electives programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education or Mathematics required Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education or Mathematics strongly recommended At least two year’s prior teaching experience in a Middle or Upper School setting Experience teaching AP Statistics highly preferred Experience with thoughtful technology integration in a Mathematics class Experience teaching to a range of learners Eager to contribute positively to the Franklin community Willingness to engage with and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences Compensation: $60,000-$100,000/year Commensurate with experience and education We are committed to making our recruitment practices barrier-free and as accessible as possible for everyone.
