Description:
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role in our litigation department. You'll draft legal documents such as complaints, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer• Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews• Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents• Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers• Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings Qualifications: • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred• Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills• Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred• 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting• Strong oral and written communication skills Compensation: $28 - $32 hourly About Company: JS Abrams Law is a growing AV-rated boutique law firm in Woodland Hills, CA that provides unparalleled legal services to clients all over the great State of California.
