If interested, we encourage you to apply today to move forward with an expedited interview process! Duties and Responsibilities: Build and assemble mechanical components according to requirements. Troubleshoot and complete all maintenance processes and ensure that units always meet specifications. Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, or other various systems. Aid in the removal or replacement of assemblies such as springs, axles, and brakes, using hydraulic jacks or hoist, to gain access. Familiarity with various mechanical tools such as drill presses, grinders, MIG/TIG/stick welders, plasma torches, cutting equipment (i.e. chop saw), pneumatic tools and electric/manual hand tools. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges. Ensures that all work performed meets required codes. Requirements and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED certificate. Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics. 2-3 years of work experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry. Experience with various hand tools. Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc. Able to safely complete the physical tasks associated with the essential job functions. These tasks include extensive climbing, walking, lifting, bending, standing, carrying, and squatting. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
