WHAT YOU WILL DO Cogility Software is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in our Irvine, CA office. As a DevOps Engineer at Cogility Software, you will collaborate to design, configure, deploy and maintain the product through its lifecycle. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes-based solutions. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in compliance, cloud cost optimization, automation, and SRE methodologies. Key responsibilities include: Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters for our applications and services. Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance processes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, with a focus on CIS benchmarks and CISA requirements. Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure compliance measures are integrated into the development and deployment workflows. Implement SRE best practices for incident response, error budgeting, and service level objectives (SLOs). Implement security best practices in Kubernetes environments to meet compliance requirements. Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Implement cloud cost optimization strategies to minimize infrastructure expenses while maintaining performance and reliability. Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities for optimization. Monitor and manage resource allocation to optimize cost-efficiency in Kubernetes environments. Drive automation initiatives across the infrastructure stack to improve efficiency and reliability. Continuously evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to enhance operational capabilities. Open to remote candidates. Must be willing to work core hours of 9 am PT - 3 pm PT. If you are in the Irvine, CA area, then it will be a hybrid position. You must be able to come into the Irvine, CA office 2 days a week. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE Must have a minimum of 4+ years experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer Bachelor’s degree, technical certification or equivalent work experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters in a production environment Understanding and implementation of security and data protection Proficiency and experience in the following: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) Scripting (Bash, GoLang, Python) Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) CICD pipeline (GitHub Action, CodePipeline) Logging and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus) Networking (Security, Firewalls, Routing) Version control (GitHub) Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE Salary Range: $150K- 180K* Company Equity 401k safe harbor match Generous medical, dental, vision plans, and FSA Vacation, sick, and paid holidays offered Job training, conferences, and time allotted for learning Promote from within Daily sync Work with talented and collaborative co-workers * TECHNOLOGIES WE USE Hosting: AWS and GCP services (Server and Serverless) Backend: Elixir, NodeJS, Java, GraphQL, Postgres, and Redis Frontend: Typescript and React Search and analytics: OpenSearch and Kafka Industry-standard build tooling and CI/CD: CodePipeline and GitHub Action Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus and Grafana.
