Plaquemines Parish School Board is accepting applications for the following position: Primary Special Education Teacher Location: Belle Chasse Primary School Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university Valid LA teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsements. Special Education certification. A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn Excellent attendance record Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices Positive interpersonal skills Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performances and/or residency This individual will exhibit skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community. Possible classroom assignment: Significant Disabilities, Resource, or Inclusion.
