The Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center located in Lewis Center, Ohio is seeking a part time Banquet Server to join our team! Our property is one of the largest venues in Columbus. During the week we hold a wide variety of meetings and during the weekends we will host weddings! The Banquet Server executes meal service for on-site events in a prompt and courteous fashion while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency to ensure guest satisfaction. Our attractive compensation package includes a wage that can average around $20 - $26 hourly! Essential Functions: Set up equipment and items in a timely fashion needed to carry out a successful catered meal. Typically includes: setting up a buffet or food station, setting dining tables, preparing for food and beverage service. Serves food and beverage to guests as specified in Event Order in a manner that maintains professionalism and high guest satisfaction. Clean up equipment and items used during service and return to storage to be used for next event. Anticipate and be aware of guest needs before and during event in order to provide high-quality service. Physical Requirements: These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position. Position requires standing during entire shift Position requires the ability to carry a banquet serving tray of at least 6 dinners with the end goal of 8 dinners. Assisting Conference Services if applicable: the ability to regularly lift 55 lbs Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: Basic reading and writing skills At least one year of experience in catering or fine dining Attention to detail Communication skills Guest-centric mentality Adaptability Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center is managed by Columbus Hospitality Management , a company committed to providing quality service and memorable guest experiences in a positive and welcoming work environment.
