Learn more about Bedding Components: L and P Bedding Group REPORTS TO: Materials Manager BASIC FUNCTION: Support and coordinate operations within their department, make key decisions regarding the unloading, intake, storage, and distribution of product PRIMARY DUTIES: :Assist management in ensuring a highly satisfied, loyal, and engaged workforce:Be a leader on and demonstrating strong, sustaining partnerships with key stakeholders:Oversee incoming material as required and validate accuracy of Daily Receiving Log:Monitor employees' performance and support CPI to insure maximum output of quality:Hold reports accountable for safety procedures, assigned duties, and working hours:Oversee bin audits, specifically R1. Assist with other bin audits when necessary:Schedule dock appointments via containers:Assist branch with material movement from outside warehouses to main facility:Ensure telephone coverage at all times:Understand and practice the proper procedures for RF scanning.:Check employees' quality according to respective quality plans.:Keep work areas clean and orderly through training of good housekeeping methods.:Physically inspect incoming loads, including any damaged product return shipments to main branch.:Assist with Cycle Counts and participate in Physical Inventory as required.:Assist Customer Service/Purchasing with questions as they arise.:Understand and practice the Streamline Receiving Process.:Complete all other duties as assigned.:Conform to all safety and quality requirements.:Understand and practice the policies and procedures for LP9000 and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).:Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process, and the quality system.:Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system.:Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.:Verify the implementation of solutions.:Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. QUALIFICATIONS: :High school diploma or equivalent.:3 to 5 years manufacturing experience.:Must be able to obtain a material handler's license.:Good communication and people skills.
